The girls look beautiful, happy and simply doing what they do best – deliver a fantastic performance. I really like the energy of Chi Mat Ba Ram, the fun instrumental, the phenomenal vocals – everything fits so well together. I hope Chi Mat Ba Ram does well on the charts as well, they definitely deserve it and this catchy tune will sure worm its way into our brains. Summer is officially starting in just a few days and I think this will be the perfect song to welcome it – we are here for all the upbeat, uplifting summer releases which can help us have fun and forget about all of our problems. I think everyone was really excited for this comeback and I’m so glad that it was worth the wait. No complaints here, let me go die of a heatstroke now and pray my train isn’t broken.īrave Girls are back! It honestly feels good to hear Brave Sound name check again, it felt like I’ve only been hearing it while listening to early 2010s k-pop these days. The rest of the Summer Queen album doesn’t have to hide either – Summer by myself and Pool party (“Hashtag Chilax” Same) have a groove to them I really enjoy, the latter being a total summer party jam especially with that E-CHAN rap. The English version of Chi Mat Ba Ram is pretty cool too not as cringe-y as I expected it to be. Chi Mat Ba Ram is summer in a song and I am glad there isn’t any weird drop in there and the “Brave Sound” part I can get totally used to, so I take it.
They asked us if we were ready in the beginning of Chi Mat Ba Ram and we are! I am at least, hopefully Korea is too, because this concept is gonna be done by Brave Girls until Korea is sick of it. I especially like the second part of that massive chorus and the bridge.
The girls look also absolutely amazing during the music video, Summer Queens indeed (there is so much going on though during the music video like… So much… why). I am not complaining though, they had me from the first second on when I heard that sweet, sweet saxophone during the first verse of Chi Mat Ba Ram. Chi Mat Ba Ram is perfect for summer and has Brave Sound written all over it.
